Diagonalization and inverses for non-linear systems†

Abstract

The problem of decoupling and inverting dynamic systems is considered. Attention is focused on the problems that arise as available linear techniques ore applied to nonlinear systems. The decoupling of non-linear multi-variate differential equations is illustrated in a series of three examples.
