Abstract. The Kell system has been investigated using radioactively‐labelled antibodies. Estimates of the number of K sites on KK cells ranged between 4,430 and 7,050, and on Kk cells between 2,100 and 5,400 on each red cell. Average equilibrium constants ranged between 1 × 10 10 and 3 × 10 10 1/ m .
