A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF CRYOTHERAPY FOLLOWED BY RADICAL PROSTATECTOMY FOR LOCALLY ADVANCED PROSTATE CANCER

Abstract

Neoadjuvant cryotherapy achieved complete tumor destruction in 4 of 7 patients with locally advanced prostate cancer. Cryotherapy followed by radical prostatectomy was associated with substantial morbidity, mainly in terms of urinary incontinence.
