Abstract A phenylacetylene monodendron having a smooth gradient in electronic energy from the periphery to the core has been synthesized. The focal point terminates in a perylene luminophor. This design is suggested to contain the essential features of an efficient exciton antenna, manifested in the form of a light energy conversion device.
