Nanostructured porous wires of FeCo<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub>supported on nickel foam were synthesized and employed as binder/additive-free electrodes in asymmetric aqueous supercapacitors, showing a high energy density of 23 Wh kg<sup>−1</sup>.
