Abstract Diamines containing ester and amide linkages were obtained by the addition reaction of p ‐aminobenzoic acid with arylenebis(2‐oxazolines) in N,N ‐dimethylformamide. These diamines were subjected to polycondensation with various diacid dichlorides to obtain polyamides containing regular ester and amide sequences in the polymer chain.
