The realization method of a trunk line system restoration is discussed. Object-oriented programming techniques using a frame representation of knowledge and heuristics have been adopted to achieve efficient processing. The present prototype system (350 frames, 11 production rules, 20 demons, and 500 methods) has confirmed that these techniques for power system restoration is effective. It is confirmed that it is easy to add knowledge (rules) concerning restoration cases to the prototype system by applying knowledge engineering techniques.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
