Effects of Ischemia on Cerebral Arteriolar Dilation to Arterial Hypoxia in Piglets

Abstract

Cerebrovascular responsiveness is selectively affected by anoxic stress. In addition, cerebral arteriolar dilation to hypoxia and adenosine is maintained after ischemia despite the expected impairment in K(ATP) function.
