Although there are numerous causes of gyral swelling and enhancement, such as infarction and neoplasm, if these conditions are reversible and correspond to clinical findings, then the differential diagnosis is narrowed to postictal change, reversible ischemia, complicated migraine, or resolved inflammation/infection.
