Immune status and risk for infection in patients receiving chronic immunosuppressive therapy.

Abstract

Patients receiving chronic immunosuppressive therapy can develop severe lymphopenia that involves all subsets. Monitoring T-helper cell counts may be useful to estimate the risk for subsequent infections in such patients.
