Uniform mesoporous MnCo<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> and CoMn<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> microspheres that consist of numerous polyhedral nanoparticles were prepared and further evaluated as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, which exhibited excellent long-life cycling stability at high rate density.
