Internal active parallel DC power-factor and line-current correctors

Abstract

Internal active parallel DC correctors in simple rectifiers help meeting the standard IEC 1000-3-2. As an example, a buck converter in parallel with a flyback DC corrector is considered. The principle of operation is experimentally verified. Idealized waveforms are analysed to establish the limits of the line voltage and processed power.
