Abstract

A new low-power low-voltage high CMRR CMOS instrumentation amplifier is developed for biomedical applications. It constitutes a part of an implantable nerve signal recording system. The new design saves expensive resistor trimming by using current mirrors instead of a resistor network. It has been integrated in a CMOS 0.35 /spl mu/m technology and realizes a very high CMRR up to 120 dB and low-power consumption as low as 166 /spl mu/W at 2.2 V power supply.
