Synthetic aperture focusing techniques for ultrasonic imaging of solid objects

Abstract

SKI perspective This report presents the results of an investigation of SAFT algorithms as applied for post-processing of ultrasonic data acquired for inspection of coarse grained materials. Ultrasonic inspection of coarse grained material is associated with higher noise and lower efficiency than other material. This report is one step towards understanding these effects and to developing suitable methodology to inspect coarse grained materials. Project information
