The lipid phosphorus changed little during the first 8 days and then decreased rapidly during the period 8-32 days after either nerve section or nerve crush. In the sectioned nerves the lipid phosphorus fell still further, whereas in the crushed nerves it had commenced to increase by 96 days and continued to increase throughout the period of regeneration.
