Until recently, triodes and conventional tetrodes have satisfied most of the requirements applications. The present and specifications in this field, calling for increased duty factor, peak power, pulse length and reliability, reach or exceed the possibilities of such components. Power grid tubes technology must evolve to answer these demands.
