Tuning band pass filters in the time domain

Abstract

This new idea in coupled-resonator filter tuning is based on the time domain response of filter return loss. With this method, individual responses of each resonator and coupling coefficient can be distinguished and can be precisely set to a desired filter response; interactions can be immediately determined and accounted for.
