A new dinuclear complex, [Ni(L)(μ<sub>1,1</sub>-N<sub>3</sub>)Ni(L)(OH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]·ClO<sub>4</sub>(<bold>1</bold>), has been synthesized. It shows the presence of ferromagnetic interactions and is endowed with both anti-mycobacterial and anticancer properties.
