Cheyletiella sp., with other mites, was isolated from the underclothes shakings of a woman with a papular rash and chronic urticaria. She had no contact with pets. Previously, Cheyletiella has been recognized only as an infestation derived from animals. The possible significance of this finding is discussed. The minute morphological differences between C. parasitivorax and C.yasguri are described.
