Tuning the thermotropic properties of liquid crystalline p-substituted aroylhydrazones

Abstract

Lamellar smectic A to columnar mesophase crossover is observed in <italic>p</italic>-substituted aroylhydrazones by variation of the alkoxy chain density at peripherals.
