Activities of Irish psychiatric hospitals and units 1965-1969

Abstract

As usual the material of this report is in three different sections; for the country
\nas a whole, for health boards and, finally, for individual hospitals. More
\ndetailed information than that presented here is available on request to the
\nHealth Research Board. A copy of the form used by hospitals for admissions
\nand discharges and forwarded to.us is reproduced overleaf.
\nCoverage
\nWith the exception of the psychiatric unit in St. Vincent's Hospital, Elm
\nPark, Dublin, all psychiatric hospitals and units in Ireland reported to us in
\n1984 and the data, therefore, with this exception, represent total national
\ncoverage. Information on the activities of St. Teresa's psychiatric unit, in the
\nGeneral Hospital, Castlebar is included with the figures for St. Mary's
\nHospital, Castlebar and data from the unit in the General Hospital, Letterkenny
\nwiih the returns for St. Conal's, Letterkenny.
