Effects of Fiber Diameter Distribution of Nonwoven Fabrics on its Properties

Abstract

Here in this paper a review about the available methods of measuring fiber diameter in a nonwoven structure and its probability distribution has been described. Both offline and online measurement techniques of measuring fibre di- ameter and analysis of measured data has been discussed. It has been seen from various studies that fibre diameter follows log-normal distribution irrespective of fibre size and manufacturing techniques.
