Abstract

The worm Thelazia callipaeda, parasitic in the eyes of dogs, was extracted from the eyes of two patients in Roi-ed Province, northeast Thailand, and from the eyes of five dogs in the same region. We distinguished T. callipaeda morphologically from Thelazia californiensis from California, on the basis of the numbers of pre- and postcloacal papillae in the male and the position of the vulva in the female.
