Abstract

This work is devoted to the relationship between topological properties of a space <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> X X </inline-formula> and those of <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> C p ( X ) C_{p}(X) </inline-formula> (= the space of continuous real-valued functions on <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> X X </inline-formula> , with the topology of pointwise convergence).
