Abstract

THE experimental material presented in this paper derives from two sources: (a) the observation that oestrone methyl ether is a powerful oestrogenic agent, not much less active than oestrone itself; (b) the occasional finding that fennel oil (oleum foeniculi) has a remarkable oestrogenic potency (500 rat units per ml. tested on infantile rats).
