Of 54 patients with pulmonary aspergillosis observed during a ten-year period at the Missouri State Sanatorium, 16 patients were recognized to have pulmonary aspergilloma. After surgical resection in 5, one died; of the 8 who received amphotericin B, one died; and 2 of the 3 untreated patients died. The course of these patients during follow-up of one to ten years established the seriousness of this infection.
