Abstract

Abstract A method of collection of nasal secretion, by absorption onto previously weighed strips of filter paper, is described. The method permits quantitative determination of electrolyte and protein composition. Concentrations of sodium, potassium, calcium, inorganic phosphate, total protein, albumin, IgA, IgG, and IgM globulins are reported for normal subjects under basal conditions.
