Abstract

In our experience, the use of alvimopan perioperatively significantly accelerates the rate of gastrointestinal recovery and hospital discharge, eliminates the need for nasogastric tube decompression, and reduces the incidence of postoperative ileus in patients following radical cystectomy and urinary diversion.
