Abstract

Scatter laser photocoagulation increased leukocyte rolling and subsequent accumulation in both the photocoagulated and the untreated portions of the retina. The accumulated leukocytes may be involved in the augmented vascular permeability in the untreated retina, resulting in retinal edema after photocoagulation.
