Demonstration of petabit scalable optical switching with subband-accessibility for elastic optical networks

Abstract

We propose Petabit scalable optical switching node with subband accessibility for elastic optical networks. We experimentally demonstrate the subband aggregation and switching on 17.4 Tb/s 16-QAM single-carrier frequency division multiplexing superchannel. Total node throughput of 0.278 Pb/s is achieved.
