The Cosmic Dust Analyser experiment (CDA) will study the dust environment at Jupiter encounter, in the asteroid belt, in the Saturnian system, and in interplanetary space throughout the cruise phase of the mission. The experiment will measure the mass, charge, velocity, trajectory, and numerical flux rate of particles and, importantly, will be the first detector to analyse the chemical composition of dust in a variety of environments in the solar system
