Skin cancer surgery in Australia 2001–2005: the changing role of the general practitioner

Abstract

GPs excise the majority of skin cancers, and the proportion excised by GPs is increasing. GPs are increasingly using skin flaps for repair, suggesting substantial changes to patterns of treatment, especially in Queensland.
