Summary 1.A rapid method of preparing bright and specific staining fluorescent antibodies is described. 2.The method is discussed emphasizing a ) the need for chromatographically homogeneous antibody globulin, b ) the importance of pH in the coupling reaction and c ) the advantages of fractionating the fluorescent antibody reaction mixture on DEAE-cellulose.
