Abstract The chromium-51 release test was used to study syngeneic tumor cell lysis by spleen lymphocytes from MSV tumor-bearing animals throughout the various stages of tumor growth and regression. Thymus dependent (T) cells were found to be necessary for tumor cell immune lysis to occur, and no requirement for non-T cells was detected.
