Abstract

In previous publications (18,19) the preparation of the triphosphoric ester of thiamine, GH19010N&Pa.+HzO, has been reported. In this substance 2 of the 3 phosphorus atoms hydrolyze in acid media; the 3rd is cleaved only by alkaline saponification. The analytical data agree well with the following formula, CHa N'\ /Hz\; /
