Abstract Copolymer of diallylamine hydrochloride and sulfur dioxide was prepared. The copolymerization was carried out in dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, or methanol using radical initiators. The structure of the obtained water‐soluble copolymer has been studied by IR‐spectra and elementary analysis. The properties of the copolymer were investigated.
