Positive real Parrott theorem with application to LMI controller synthesis

Abstract

The generalized Finsler's theorem is shown to be equivalent to a positive real version of Parrott's theorem by the bilinear sector transformation. The result established using Parrott's theorem directly leads to a parameterisation of all solutions.
