RUSSIAN DATA ON SPECTRAL REFLECTANCE OF VEGETATION, SOIL AND ROCK TYPES

Abstract

This report is a comprehensive summary of a wealth of reflectance data published in the Russian literature that has been mostly unknown to Western researchers. The report describes: (1) the equipment and methodology used in making the measurements; (2) the major projects and project areas, and (3) summarizes the results of the various measurements. Spectral reflectance data are tabulated and displayed in graphical form for a wide variety of surface vegetation - soil texture, moisture and composition - and for various types of rock weathering. A complete bibliography is included along with an index of geomorphological, pedological and botanical terms with Russian and Latin equivalents.
