Abstract All human carbonic anhydrases of the B and of the C type are immunologically equivalent. No differences in the native and forms generated in vitro of the B isozymes are noted. All of the zinc in human hemolysates can be accounted for by the carbonic anhydrases and cytocuprein. Quantitative immunochemical assays of the hemolysates of normal humans show little variation in the levels of the B and of the C type enzymes.
