Recombinant human type II collagen as a material for cartilage tissue engineering

Abstract

Our results imply that recombinant human type II collagen is a promising biomaterial for cartilage tissue engineering, allowing homogeneous distribution in the gel and biosynthesis of extracellular matrix components.
