Abstract

Parkinsonia aculeate are small trees and spreading shrubs that are found mainly in subtropical and tropical arid habitats and are easily delimited morphologically from all other Parkinsonia species. Most of northern and eastern Australia is climatically suitable for P. aculeate, as it has an outstanding ability to survive and grow under a wide range of environmental conditions including arid regions to wet-dry tropical regions.
