Abstract

Abstract The results of measurements of the temperature dependence of the fluorescence 4 T 2 g → 4 A 2 g and phosphorescence 2 E g → 4 A 2 g of [Cr(urea) 6 ] 3 (ClO 4 ) 3 and [Cr(antp) 6 ](ClO 3 ) 3 in crystalline form and in a variety of solvents in the temperature region ‐ 186 to ‐ 20 °C are reported. The observed temperature dependence of the luminescence is discussed qualitatively in terms of the possible radiative and non‐radiative processes.
