Teacher education policy in Europe: a voice of higher education institutions

Abstract

This monograph marks a
\nsignificant moment in the development of the Teacher Education Policy
\ncommunity in Europe, which has brought together representatives of
\nvarious stakeholders including Teacher Education institutions, students,
\nschool teachers, trade unions as well as representatives of the European
\nCommission, the Council of Europe, the European Training Foundation
\nand the European Network on Teacher Education Policies (ENTEP). We
\ntrust that this publication will mark a new chapter in the continuing
\ndialogue at the trans-national level with the aims of advancing teaching
\nand teacher education and improving the quality of student learning in
\nEurope.
