These consist of a history of hematemesis and/or melena, the presence of ascites, splenomegaly and enlarged collateral veins in the abdominal wall, and x-ray evidence of esophageal varices. The anatomic basis for this condition has been described6the experimental work on this subject reviewed,7, 8and...Bibliography1.
