43.2: New Fast Response Time In‐Plane Switching Liquid Crystal Mode

Abstract

We have developed an in‐plane switching (IPS) liquid crystal display with a fast response time that is three times faster than that for the comparable optical performance in the conventional IPS mode. The elastic energy function under the electric field is also analyzed.
