Abstract

123I-IMP SPECT is a sensitive and accurate method for the detection of uveal malignant melanoma, whereas the efficacy of 18F-FDG PET for this purpose is low because of a high incidence of false-negative results. 123I-IMP SPECT is far more superior in comparison with 18F-FDG PET in detecting uveal malignant melanoma.
