Abstract

Intrahepatic sarcomatoid cholangiocarcinoma is a rare but aggressive malignancy. The diagnosis needs to be confirmed by immunohistochemical study. Early detection and complete surgical resection offer the only chance for long term survival in patients with this cholangiocarcinoma variant.
