Decreased Resting-State Interhemispheric Functional Connectivity in Parkinson’s Disease

Abstract

Our results suggest that the functional coordination between homotopic brain regions is impaired in PD patients, extending previous notions about the disconnection of corticostriatal circuit by providing new evidence supporting a disturbance in inter-hemispheric connections in PD.
