Production and Evaluation of a Formalin-Killed Chikungunya Vaccine

Abstract

Abstract Production methods and immunogenic characteristics of a formalin-inactivated Chikungunya vaccine prepared in bank-frozen green monkey kidney tissue culture were described. The total absence of untoward reactions or side effects and the excellent immunogenic response in volunteers attested to the safety and immunogenicity of this vaccine.
