Diamond 1 and Clarke's Shelter: report on excavations in the northern Drakensberg, Natal, South Africa

Abstract

Excavations at Diamond 1 and Clarke's Shelter in the northern Natal Drakensberg are reported. Both these sites postdate 5000 BP. Stone collections made by previous workers in the area are reanalysed and reinterpreted. Preliminary comments are made regarding the mid- and later Holocene prehistory of the northern Natal Drakensberg. To cite this article: Mazel, A. D. 1984.
